Main Features:
Although this constellation is the 18th largest constellation Camelopardalis is not a brighter constellation as the magnitude of the highest star that is brighter is nearly four. Having a low magnitude, they are not so much brighter as compared to the other constellations.
List of stars in Camelopardalis:
As mentioned earlier this constellation does not have much higher magnitude, so the stars present in their list or family are not so much brighter, but one or two of them perhaps can show some kind of brightness. Following is the list of stars that stay present in this constellation.
Alpha cam:
It is a blue color supergiant star who can have the magnitude almost about 4.3, and 5000 light years from the earth, that means that this cam is too much far from the earth, so the brightness or visibility of this constellation is almost negligible because of their distance.
Beta cam:
Well if you are asking which one of the stars of this constellation is much brighter? Then the answer for you is beta cam that is the brightest star present in this constellation. The magnitude of this constellation is nearly 4.03, and the other thing to also consider is that this star is double-star so the magnitude will be divided into two parts. The various magnitudes of this constellation are 4.0 and 8.6 respectively.
11 Cam:
It is also a star whose magnitude is 5.2, and the distance is 650 light years from the earth, they are two-stars, but they can’t be double-star family.
CS Cam:
The next family member of this constellation is the second highest star who is brighter than the rest of their family, its magnitude in numbers is 4.21 so they can produce some brightness and can be large in size as compared to the others.
Myths about this constellation:
As this constellation was discovered in the middle of the 16th century, so there is nothing like myths are being related to this constellation.
